M10

Plain Concrete

For PCC, levelling & non-structural areas.

Mix Ratio: 1 : 3 : 6
Cement :Sand : Aggregate
Water: As per workability (W/C by design)

M15

Light Structural Use

For footing, small slabs & general RCC.

Mix Ratio: 1 : 2 : 4
Cement :Sand : Aggregate
Use: Low to medium load members

M20

Standard RCC Work

Commonly used for beams, slabs, columns.

Mix Ratio: 1 : 1.5 : 3
Cement :Sand : Aggregate
Note: Prefer design mix for major RCC

Mortar

Brickwork & Plaster

For masonry & plaster finishes.

Brickwork: 1 : 4 to 1 : 6 (Cement : Sand)
Plaster: 1 : 4 to 1 : 5 (Cement : Sand)
Thickness: As per drawing & site design

Safety & Handling Guidelines

Personal Protection

Always wear gloves, mask & safety goggles while handling cement.
Avoid direct contact with skin & eyes. Wash immediately if contact occurs.
Use safety shoes at site to prevent injuries from heavy materials.

Storage & Handling

Store cement bags on raised wooden pallets away from moisture.
Keep bags covered with plastic sheets in a dry, ventilated area.
Follow FIFO – First In, First Out to avoid old stock usage.

Mixing & Curing

Use clean water & properly graded sand/aggregate for mixing.
Never add extra water just to make concrete/mortar “easy to work”.
Cure concrete & plaster properly for at least 7–14 days as per application.
